Casa Jimenez: Reviews & Ratings
My wife and I have been coming here occasionally for over a decade. It’s not a fancy place, but it offers comforting, homespun flavors that feel like they come from old family recipes. Prices and portions are reasonable, the atmosphere is clean and casual, and the service has always been polite and accommodating. A solid choice for a consistently good meal without the extra frills.
Good food & friendly service! I come here for lunch regularly and always leave happy and full. Staff is always friendly, service is quick. Small place but full of charm. Love the pozole and beef soup!
It was a nice restaurant but hard to park in this restaurant. The food was made really fast but it wasn’t very tasty. The tortillas weren’t warm they were cold. Other than that it was a nice restaurant I didn’t like that they let people come inside and sing to the customers eating because most of us don’t carry cash to tip them. Also the steak was very chewy not tasty. Also you kind of feel like the seats are to close to each other
Had a great pig-out here. Loved the mole, tender chicken. Good tacos and torta. Good chips and salsa. I ate all this myself, I don't suggest you do the same.
Stopped by this restaurant on a whim after visiting Roger Dunn, wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The space felt inviting, to my delight, we were welcomed with complimentary starter chips and salsa that were scrumptious! The chips were perfectly crisp, and we enjoyed both the spicy and mild salsas—they were packed with flavor and set a great tone for our meal. We arrived around noon, and I was pleased to see a variety of everyday specials, including enticing lunch deals. I decided to try the two hard-shelled tacos paired with a shredded beef burrito, while my partner opted for the lunch special flautas. The presentation was appealing, and I could see that care was taken in the dish assembly. However, there was a significant downside: the food itself lacked seasoning. Despite the vibrant ingredients and potential for flavor, the dishes tasted rather bland, which was disappointing and unfortunately brought my rating down by a star. A dash of spice or seasoning would elevate these dishes to match the ambiance and overall quality of the service, which, I must say, was excellent! Our server was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience pleasant. I’m definitely looking forward to returning and giving this place another shot!
This spot is amazing. Their salsas are delicious. Breakfast burritos worth driving 45 mins for. I drive here often from the San Fernando Valley. My wife loves the chilaquiles. Friendly staff and great food.
Food was delicious and the Special they were having was crazy amazing...$20 you get a side salad or soup, 3 choices (burrito, enchilada, taquitos, tacos, etc) with rice and beans. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! The customer service was great and I'm so glad we gave this little restaurant a chance. If you're in the area your should definitely give it a go.
Fresh seafood, and traditional Mexican style homemade dishes can be found here. Hearty Breakfast plates, lunch and dinner. They have an outdoor tent setup that is perfect for evening summer dinning. Servers are on it, always making sure you have what's needed. They also have a vast selection of Mexican and Domestic Beers.
